Famous Twins, In Vivo

A collection of famous fictional twins as they may have looked in the womb. I can only imagine that babies being born with weapons and clothing would be a little disturbing. (Film Twins by Mr. Whaite, via That Geek Lover)

Down The Rabbit Hole

This was the inspiration Lewis Carroll had for Alice in Wonderland, with a few minor changes. (Link via See Mike Draw)

Alice In Zombieland

Tim Burton had his turn with Alice in Wonderland, so how about George Romero or Quentin Tarantino? I think it could make for a fascinating series.

Alice In Zombieland by silverqe and Pakpandir is still only a possible t-shirt over at Threadless, so if you want to wear a slicing and dicing Alice you need to go and vote. (Link via Super Punch)

Alice in Wonderland Alignment Chart

To be honest, my Dungeons and Dragons knowledge is a little thin and so the difference between some character alignments haven't always been clear to me. Having them placed in an Alice in Wonderland context helps, kinda. Looking at this chart, I'd like to think I'm the March Hare, but I'm more likely The Caterpillar. Pulp Fiction Wonderland

There's something about Pulp Fiction, and Alice in Wonderland for that matter, that lend themselves to mashups. While this one misses a bit on the syncing, I like that everyone gets their own character and they follow it through. Some of the poorer examples can't seem to manage that.

You Need To Be As Mad As A Hatter

The Alice In Wonderland trailer is dark, colourful, amazing! What what else would you expect when you mix Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and a fairytale setting? Don't take my word for it, see for yourself.

Update: Looks like Disney has pulled the trailer off the internets — only a few grainy versions remain. It must be horrible for a company to get all that free advertising and promotion. Good for them for dismissing all those fans!

Update 2: Hmm, it's back. I sure told them.

Through The Looking Glass

Ed Wood meets Raoul Duke, crossed with Edward Scissorhands and Willy Wonka. I love everything about the new images from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, especially Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.

Burton's take picks up 10 years after Lewis Carroll's classic tale left off. Alice returns down the rabbit hole, but doesn't recall her childhood. Go to /film for more.

I don't want to have to wait nine more months to see this vision emerge!

Through The Remixed Looking Glass

Pogo, of Last.fm remixed the music and images from Disney's 1951 film Alice In Wonderland to create a piece of electronic music that takes 90% of its sound from the film and yet creates something altogether unique.

It gorgeous and I can imagine Feist singing it as an electronic version of skat. I'm not doing it justice — just watch and see. It also tells me that the Disney animators were very edgy for the '50s.
