Jared von Hindman of Head Injury Theater has put together a ABC of horror movie monsters and ghouls (or at least he did a couple of years ago. I just got around to it via a link from Coolios, which is kindly linking to my Last Supper smorgasbord. Yay, interweb!) Anyway, Hindman's site sucked me in for quite awhile, just like current fave Topless Robot, which together make me wonder why I bother.
