A common theme that keeps coming up among those of us who are lacking in money and health insurance is what we can do to maintain our health at the lowest cost. A balanced and as organic as possible diet, exercise, proper breathing techniques, some sunshine and a good attitude are my first choices. I like the frequent addition of raw garlic, onions and chili peppers as supplements and a few standby common inexpensive herbs for fairly minor health issues that may arise.
There are many potentially valuable nutritional supplements in the natural and health food stores and online but a look at the prices often means they're out of the question.
So in a world of ever declining cash flow and a medical and pharmaceutical industry that will steal both your money and your health, is there anything really anything cheap that the po' folks can add to their arsenal? Maybe something so inexpensive and effective that the 'health care' industry feels that their income and control could be jeopardized? Nutrients that the FDA will demonize to protect their turf? Actually there are many.
A good friend, ex-nurse and therapist who has sold many expensive supplements over the years but in a failing economy found no one buying embarked on research to find something so cheap, readily available and yet effective with a long history of alleged success that it should be in every home. He thinks he found it ... food grade hydrogen peroxide. After a year of taking it and even giving it to his dog, he thinks it's the real deal.
This is not a promotion. It's more about asking questions. He's bringing me some the next time he comes down from his mountain so I'll give it a try myself. My friend has been selling food grade hydrogen peroxide for several months by word of mouth and through ads in some free newspapers but not much volume at all and with a slim profit margin because it's so cheap. He has been bugging me to set him up a website for sales. He doesn't have a computer and actually lives off the grid. I've been very hesitant. The FDA is strong arming those who make claims as to anything with health benefits unless it's from big pharma so having my IP address connected to a web site with claims could be iffy.
I had him read Mike Adams FDA unleashes end game scheme to outlaw virtually all dietary supplements formulated after 1994 to get a glimpse of what may be coming up and although hydrogen peroxide has been around for a long time and may not apply, there's still that issue of making claims. I could set up a sales site without any claims at all or providing links but whether it would work would remain to be seen.
Anyway, I find the potential of food grade hydrogen peroxide to be interesting and with careful handling and dosage may be something to think about. It won't break the bank to try. I'll follow up later if I think it's beneficial.

I just heard a bit on cable news that if the debt ceiling is not raised the government is thinking about selling assets. We all knew this was coming. The international banking cabal wants it all and at fire sale prices.
I have some issues with Ron Paul but he did say the other day that in order to free up some money all we had to do is quit paying interest payments to the Federal Reserve. Maybe we should do that instead of selling gold reserves, if we have any, or anything else of value that 'we the people' actually own. The Fed wouldn't like that and may get desperate and have its boys blow something up to prove a point but instead of threatening to cut off social security I'll go with the idea of cutting off the Fed.

Here's the plot ...
Gilligan finds a crate of radioactive vegetable seeds. The plants grow quickly and grossly misshapen, but the Castaways are so hungry for new items in their diet that they consume them quickly. The plants, when eaten, give the castaways super-human powers. Of course, after he realizes that the vegetables are radioactive, the Professor saves the day by having the castaways eat the soap they had been making to absorb the radioactivity.
'Art' predicts life so we'll go with the Professor's advice and try and eat our way out of this current radioactive mess we're in.

People are talking about all kinds of exotic remedies that may be of great value. Herbs and supplements I'm sure are useful but there's a problem for those of us of limited means. We won't be able to get any of these 'medicines' and pay the light bill at the same time. That leaves us pretty much with a diet only resistance and on the budget we can swing.
Growing our own, organic, raw, local, non-processed, non-GMO are some of the keywords. You know what to do. I don't have to repeat it. Suggestions for a poor man's fight against poisons are always appreciated.

The new report follows findings from the senior military leaders group that 75 percent of adults in that age range are unqualified to serve in the armed forces because they lack the physical conditioning, don't have high school diplomas, or have criminal records.
On Monday, one of the organization's members, retired Maj. Gen. Wesley E. Craig, said early childhood education {war propaganda} was important to national security.
Speaking before several hundred educators and business leaders at a forum on early education in Harrisburg, Craig said, "Our national security in 2030 is heavily dependent on the boys and girls in preschool and kindergarten right now."
"I'm here to say that if we don't take action soon, it's going to get harder to recruit qualified people to serve," said Craig, a former commander of the 28th Infantry Division of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Being overweight or obese is the leading medical reason applicants fail to qualify for military service, "Too Fat to Fight" states.
"Every month, hundreds of otherwise excellent candidates for military service are turned away by recruiters because of weight problems," retired Army Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in the report.
Since 1995, the proportion of recruits who failed their physical exams because they were overweight has risen by nearly 70 percent, the report says.{more}

I'm glad that Wal-Mart sometimes decides to give a little money to local schools. It will take a slight load off of parents who are continually hit up for money. Fund raisers are a big thing around here. Just yesterday our local school delivered 360 dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts at $6 a pop to support something or the other for the school.
What struck me in this Wal-Mart give away was that the art and PE teachers only got half of what the others received.
I suppose creativity and physical fitness must not be prerequisites to being a good Wal-Mart shopper.
Wal-Mart is going with the flow. Google 'art, music and PE funding cuts in schools' and you'll see this is the trend all over the country. These 'unnecessary' subjects don't fit in with the federal mandate of "No Child Left Behind."

The global flu pandemic expected to return to the United States this fall is likely to infect as much as half of the population, flooding hospitals with nearly 2 million patients and causing 30,000 to 90,000 deaths, according to the first official prediction of the scope of the coming epidemic.
The report, released Monday by the White House, was prepared by the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology beginning in late June at President Barack Obama's request. It concludes that the expected resurgence of the new form of H1N1 flu, also known as swine flu, "poses a serious health threat to the United States." {more}
MORE than two dozen pharmaceutical companies are racing against the clock to test, produce and ship more than a billion doses of H1N1 flu vaccines to anxious populations worldwide bracing for a second wave of infection.
But even if things proceed smoothly, delivery will not keep up with demand as the northern hemisphere enters the autumn and winter flu season, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned.
"We know that supplies will be extremely limited for some months to come," WHO chief Margaret Chan said on Friday.
Initial estimates that big pharma could crank out 94 million doses a week beginning in October have been slashed by 50 to 75 per cent due to poorer than expected yields from the so-called "seed virus" strains developed by WHO-approved laboratories.
According to the global health authority, 25 drug companies have announced their intention to make the vaccines.
Five of those firms will account for more than 80 per cent of production: Sanofi-Pasteur in France, AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in Britain, Baxter in the United States, and the Swiss group Novartis. {more}
Parents balking at supplying their guinea pigs..err..babies for testing?
What has happened to the 'Volunteer State?' The 'war on flu' is having to get the media to recruit for it. Every 30 minutes a local radio station is giving us the news that Vanderbilt University is in need of more children for the experimental testing of the H1N1 vaccine.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. WKRN - Vanderbilt University Medical Center is one of eight locations across the country testing the vaccine for the H1N1 virus and is about to launch its second round of trials.
Beginning Wednesday, children will be rolling up their sleeves at the Nashville hospital but participants are still needed.
Dr. John Williams, who specializes in pediatric infectious diseases, is taking part in the adult trials and has signed up his four children up.
He told News 2 if he thought it wasn't safe, he wouldn't let them do it.
"As a parent, my kids have taken part in vaccine trials before and they're old enough and they understand the value of what they're doing," he said. "...They're doing something to help other children."
While Vanderbilt had more than enough adults for round one of the vaccine trials, researchers need 30 more children fromsix months to 35 months old, and 20 more children between the ages of three and nine.
According to Dr. Williams, parents seem to have two schools of thought on allowing their children to participate.
"I've heard from friends of ours, parents who are afraid because of all the chatter about H1N1, and then people who have concerns about H1N1 and want to get the vaccine, and if they can get it as part of a trial, then they are willing to participate," he said.
As for side effects, Dr. Williams said he's spoken to two adults who've had the shot and they said besides having a soar arm for a couple of days, which happens with any shot, they feel fine.

The TV news and talk radio are twitching over the latest round of town hall meetings. A lot of talk, a lot of lies and misinformation coming from both sides of the false left/right paradigm.
Sure, health care is important but is it the most important issue of the day. Congress can't write a law that makes any sense and isn't full of special interest money. Obama seeks to control the debate but to what end?
Why haven't people been this up in arms about all of the other lies? There are the wars, the Federal Reserve, IRS, Wall Street, a constitution in ruins and a number of other issues that folks should be screaming about but are not.
Is this all about distracting us? Bigger things are happening but there's little in your face confrontations about those.
At best, these latest town hall meeting may delay the 'health reform' legislation but we'll see. Will Congress go back into session and vote against the will of the people as they have so many times? And why isn't anyone shouting about the criminal activities of the pharmaceutical industry, the FDA and other proposed laws that will repress our search for alternative medical solutions.
We have very few true representatives, only whores for the big money.
I think these town hall meetings are missing the basic points.
Just a couple of examples. A search will find many more. Besides the billions being thrown around for vaccines, companies and individuals want to get in on the action.
The Tennessee Sons of Liberty received an email response from an inquiry about a mandatory swine flu vaccination program in Tennessee.

They have no interest in disease prevention, and none of them has a plan for making Americans well.
High profits are made through treating disease, not prevention. Therefore, “we-the-people” get toxic vaccines, toxic drugs, unnecessary mutilating surgeries, immune system destroying chemotherapy and radiation. The debate over health care reform has run smack into a brick wall of economic reality. There's just not enough money to pay for all the disease in America, it seems, and now lawmakers are desperately searching for new sources that might bridge the financial gaps. Their latest scheme involves taxing sodas with a three-cent tax to raise an extra $24 billion over the next four years.
At first, taxing soda might seem like a good idea. Sodas, after all, promote diabetes, obesity, bone loss and many other costly health conditions. It only stands to reason that people who drink soda should pay a little more towards a national health care plan.
But there are problems with this idea of a soda tax. For starters, it's a highly regressive tax that ultimately gets paid mostly by low-income, low-education people (the kind of people who drink a lot of soda). It's a tax, in other words, on those who can least afford it.
Another problem with such a tax is that if the U.S. government is going to use taxes to modify consumer behavior, it would seem prudent to first end the government subsidies on sugar that have existed since World War II. Why are we still using taxpayer dollars to lower the price of sugar when refined white sugar contributes so much to our nation's health problems?
Then there's the question of where the money will go. Even if you slap a five-cent tax on every can of soda, does that money actually end up going towards improved health care, or is it just lost in the morass of bureaucratic incompetude that wanders the halls of Washington these days? {more - Mike Adams at Natural News}
Not only is our own government a threat to our personal health but now the UN wants to increase the control.Once again this is only for the profit of a few and perhaps a tool for depopulation.
More and more people are becoming concerned about the shady, secretive organization that is Codex Alimentarius - the thinly-veiled propaganda arm of the international pharmaceutical industry that does everything it can to promote industry objectives whilst limiting individual options to maintain health (which would diminish mermbers profits).
Codex alimentarius is one of the major bodies behind the effort to limit access to nutritional products and information. Its motivation is not rocket science and neither is the source of its funding - money that somehow expected to return a profit to its members . . . Most of the information available regarding codex alimentarius refers to its role in the USA, but it is not a US-specific body. Far from it, Codex has wiggled its dirty little tentacles into just about every national or international body concerned with public health. Posing as a benefactor, it then uses its significant financial and political clout to do its masters bidding.
What's really behind Operation Cure-All? Is it just the FDA and FTC taking their power too far? Or is there a deeper, more sinister purpose to this campaign? Who are Codex Alimentarius?
Behind the Codex Alimentarius Commission is the United Nations and the World Health Organization working in conjunction with the multinational pharmaceutical cartel and international banks. Its initial efforts in the US with the FDA were defeated, so it found another ally in the FTC. Now Codex, with the FTC and the pharmaceutical cartel behind it, it threatens to become a trade issue, using the campaign of Operation Cure-All to advance its goals.
Codex began simply enough when the U.N. authorized the World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization to develop a universal food code. Their purpose was to 'harmonize' regulations for dietary supplements worldwide and set international safety standards for the purposes of increased trade. Pharmaceutical interests stepped in and began exerting their influence. Instead of focusing on food safety, Codex is using its power to promote worldwide restrictions on vitamins and food supplements, severely limiting their availability and dosages.
This is to bring about international 'harmonization.' While global harmony sounds benign, is that the real purpose of this plan? While the stated goal of Codex is to establish unilateral regulations for dietary supplements in every country, the actual goal is to outlaw health products and information on vitamins and dietary supplements, except those under their direct control. These regulations would supersede United States domestic laws without the American people's voice or vote in the matter. {more}
So what do we do to counteract what is coming down the pike?
A key word is moderation. Another is elimination.
Moderate our intake of toxins and try to eliminate them if possible. Growing our own food and buying locally is a good start. Organic is best. Reduce or eliminate meat and dairy products. That's a very hard thing to do for most folks. Exercise, fresh air and sunshine are basic needs. Most of us know what to do.
Educate ourselves and don't fall for the schemes and scams of profit takers who have no vested interest in our health.
In some ways it's simple but at the same time we are being inundated with a whole lot of lies that all go back to the root.....control of our money and labor.
Because H1N1 flu is a novel virus, parents are concerned as 12,000 children in Oklahoma are going to be tested with vaccinations for H1N1 to see whether there are any serious side effects. Some parents are complaining the only benefit is going to be for the vaccine manufacturers.
The tension is in the waiting to see whether the 12,000 children going to be vaccinated will come down with side effects and what effects, even though most manufacturers say the vaccine probably will be safe.
What is certain is that children are going to be used to test the new flu vaccine. {more}
The Nashville hospital is one of eight across the country where scientists will administer the first swine flu shots. Researchers are scrambling to find a safe vaccine that could be given this fall, when the traditional flu season begins."There is a real urgency," said Kathryn Edwards, a professor with Vanderbilt's Vaccine Research Program who will oversee the trials in Nashville. "The sooner we find out whether (the vaccines) are going to work, the better it will be for the community."
Tests, research are vital
Unlike regular winter flu that is most dangerous to people over 65 and under 2, this new swine flu seems to target school-age children, teenagers and young adults.
The tests, plus additional research from vaccine manufacturers, are critical as the government decides whether to offer swine flu vaccine to millions of Americans starting in mid-October — assuming that enough is produced by then — still a big question as the vaccine is proving hard to manufacture. Health authorities in other countries are looking to the U.S. studies, too, as they make their own plans.
For the first set of trials, local researchers are looking for about 400 healthy adults over the age of 18. When trials begin in early August, they will receive two separate doses, three weeks apart. Edwards said participants would be paid.
Some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies are reaping billions of dollars in extra revenue amid global concern about the spread of swine flu.
Analysts expect to see a boost in sales from GlaxoSmithKline, Roche and Sanofi-Aventis when the companies report first-half earnings lifted by government contracts for flu vaccines and antiviral medicines.
The fresh sales – on top of strong results from Novartis of Switzerland and Baxter of the US, which both also produce vaccines – come as the latest tallies show that more than 740 people have died from the H1N1 virus, and millions have been affected around the world.
GlaxoSmithKline of the UK confirmed it had sold 150m doses of a pandemic flu vaccine – equivalent to its normal sales of seasonal flu vaccine – to countries including the UK, the US, France and Belgium, and was gearing up to boost production.
GSK also produces Relenza, an antiviral medicine that reduces the length and severity of the infection, and is preparing to increase manufacturing towards 60m annual doses. The UK placed an order for 10m treatments this year.
One beneficiary of the fears about the pandemic has been Roche of Switzerland, which sells Tamiflu, the leading antiviral drug, and has seen a sharp rise in orders from private companies as well as governments.
A report last week from JPMorgan*, the investment bank, estimated that governments had ordered nearly 600m doses of pandemic vaccine and adjuvant – a chemical that boosts its efficacy – worth $4.3bn (€3bn, £2.6bn) in sales, and there was potential for 342m more doses worth $2.6bn.
It forecast that fresh antiviral sales could boost sales for GSK and Roche by another $1.8bn in the developed world, and potentially up to $1.2bn from the developing world.
But there were also uncertainties for the pharmaceutical manufacturers. With demand likely to outstrip supply, and initial production suggesting that the yield for the pandemic vaccine is relatively low, they may face difficult choices in determining how much to supply to the countries seeking orders.
They are also under pressure to provide more drugs and vaccines for free, or extremely cheaply, to the developing world.
The word 'evil' is much overused and I don't say it lightly; but we are dealing with evil in the sense that the word is the reverse of 'live'. Barack Obama will tonight make a televised appeal to the Americans to save his floundering health reform plan in what Republicans are describing as the US president's Waterloo. So buy 'pipe' tobacco. I'm not promoting one company over another but the Southern Steel brand has come out with a pound for $19.95 retail. It's OK and there may be others that have something similar. A local tobacco shop said that it is the only kind selling right now. A pound makes 4 cartons or more the way I roll them and even with buying papers and filters that comes to about $8.50 a carton. Marlboro's are about $45.oo a carton here in Tennessee.
People who smoke and still have the money to buy the factory made product are still in for another surprise soon if they haven't been already. The 'fire safety cigarette.' Reports are that many people are being affected by them negatively and that the taste is 'different.' The adhesive ethylene vinyl acetate added to the papers may be the main factor.

In addition to the charges currently under investigation that she filed against Baxter AG and Avir Green Hills Biotechnology in April, she has filed charges against WHO and Baxter among others concerning a case of exploding "swine flu" vials meant for a research lab on a busy IC train in Switzerland.
In her view, control of the media by the ruling elite has allowed the world crime syndicate to further its agenda unabated while the rest of the people remain in the dark about what is really going on. Her charges are an attempt to get around this media control and bring the truth to light.
Her greatest concern is that "in spite of the fact Baxter has been caught red handed nearly triggering pandemic, they are also moving ahead, together with allied pharma companies, with supplying the vaccine for pandemics." Baxter is hurrying to get this vaccine to market some time in July.

A small biotechnology company facing possible bankruptcy and liquidation has been awarded a $35 million federal contract to develop a faster way to make vaccines for pandemic influenza.
The federal contract will help Protein Sciences develop its technology and obtain F.D.A. approval. It can be extended up to five years for a total cost of $147 million.
If the technology is proved safe and effective and is licensed by the F.D.A, the contract calls for Protein Sciences to establish domestic manufacturing capacity, to provide a finished vaccine within 12 weeks of the onset of a pandemic and to produce at least 50 million doses of a pandemic flu vaccine within six months. {more}
