Some Dare Call It Treason

Obama quotes from the Talmud in his AIPAC speech and backtracks on his 1967 border statements.

$3 billion a year is only the starting point. The wars for Israel go into the $trillions. Spying by AIPAC is smiled upon. Bribery and blackmail of US officials is the norm. None in Congress dare to stand up to this illegal foreign lobby. Treason is too mild a term.

Disappointed

I occasionally get my hopes up with  Medea Benjamin and her Code Pink friends. Wishing and hoping that they are not just another controlled opposition group designed to make us think we actually have a chance. Once again, they disappoint.

Their 'Move Over AIPAC' anti-Israel  "series of protests against Israeli policy and its support by AIPAC  planned in May to coincide with the AIPAC conference in the U.S. capital and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech there" with Helen Thomas as the keynote speaker seemed like a good idea. Sure to stir up some much needed discussions and give Helen a forum to once again speak her mind.

Not to be. Too many jewish 'activists' in Code Pink and the pressure to appease a few members of the tribe overrides putting on a real show of force against the illegal foreign lobby. Helen is real and that doesn't sit well with those afraid of losing some meal money.

She was too nice about bowing out of the event.
"I am delighted that people are coming together for this gathering and I want to make sure that the focus stays on AIPAC and U.S. policy, not me."
 I can understand why she said this but I'm also disappointed that she didn't put up more of a fight. James Abouezk explains that it most likely wasn't her decision.
Helen was first invited to the anti-AIPAC meeting, then was ceremoniously “disinvited” on grounds, she was told, that she would be a “distraction.” First of all, it is difficult to imagine how someone with similar views, such as Helen Thomas’s, would distract anyone from the presumed message of the anti-AIPAC group which would, we imagine, recite the political evils of AIPAC. Without a more clear explanation, which was not provided to Helen when she was disinvited, we can only assume that the political cleansing operation started by Abe Foxman and his Anti-Defamation League, is ongoing, even using the platform erected by the stated enemies of AIPAC.
The clear intent of Israel’s apologists is to make the Helen Thomases of the world disappear, along with their views opposing what Israel is doing to those under its occupation.
The presence of Helen Thomas as the keynote speaker may have forced the hand of the mainstream media to cover at least her part in 'Move Over AIPAC' and as it's often said "there's no bad publicity," especially since the anti-semitic canard is so tired and worn out. Now it will probably be a total ignore, a blackout.

Yep, Helen is a threat to AIPAC. Code Pink is not. They pulled a 'Goldstone,' and you know what ... I'm not surprised.

Individuals who profit exceedingly well for "non-profit" organizations

Haaretz reports on How much do U.S. Jewish leaders make? It is taken from the Jewish Daily Forward's article that focuses not on some of the excessive salaries but on the disparity between the positions and pay of men and women. Without looking into each and every one, I take it they all are 'classified' as non-profits, charities, religious and educational organizations.

The entire chart is here but let's look at one of them, the Anti-Defamation League and their 'leader' Abe Foxman.

Photobucket

Over a half a mil a year is a lot of profit for Foxman for his anti-truth hate speech. The ADL is classified as a not-for-profit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). What does the IRS say are the requirements?
To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not be an action organization, i.e., it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates. source

In general, no organization may qualify for section 501(c)(3) status if a substantial part of its activities is attempting to influence legislation (commonly known as lobbying). A 501(c)(3) organization may engage in some lobbying, but too much lobbying activity risks loss of tax-exempt status.

An organization will be regarded as attempting to influence legislation if it contacts, or urges the public to contact, members or employees of a legislative body for the purpose of proposing, supporting, or opposing legislation, or if the organization advocates the adoption or rejection of legislation. source
"Some lobbying but not too much?" Who defines that? As a current example, is this the ADL advocating adoption of legislation in disregard to IRS rules?
"We urge the Senate to do its part and to pass the DREAM Act without delay."
It sure seems as if they are advocating legislation to me. I guess the ADL gets around the rules by just saying yeah we're lobbying, but not too much. No one in Congress or the IRS is going to call them out on it anyway.

AIPAC is a 501C4 non-profit and they pay their top dog very well for the job of seeing to it that we give Israel billions of dollars each year and fight their wars for them. Something's very wrong when a nest of spies is classified as a non-profit.

The IRmep Center for Policy and Law Enforcement has filed a 1,389 page complaint demanding that AIPAC's tax exempt status be retroactively revoked.

They have the details, a rock solid case, but don't hold your breath on that one.

So check out the chart. If we had the time we could go on and on about most of them. These are not the soup kitchens and charitable groups we tend to think of non-profits as being but propagandists, Israel firsters and agenda driven profiteers. Some could be even be called thieves, sanctioned by the IRS.

Serving Two Masters

I pledge allegiance to .....

Not to outdone by the House, the U.S. Senate has 76 members sign an AIPAC approved letter to Secretary of the State of War Hillary Clinton to "to reaffirm the unbreakable bonds that tie the United States and Israel together."

The glue that holds the 'bonds' together is money, threats and blackmail. Few will dare to rock the zionist boat for fear of being thrown overboard.

Why wasn't it 100%? Well, a few always get a pass with a wink and a nod so as not to give the appearance of total subservience to the foreign agents of AIPAC and Israel. John Kerry didn't sign but there's little doubt as to his dual loyalties. Senator Feinstein is not on the list but you can be sure she was probably just unavailable as she is a staunch Zionist and war profiteer.

Congress is also being whipped into a contrived frenzy for imposing 'crippling sanctions' on Iran. 363 in the House signed another letter demanding immediate action.

Of course it's not only Congress. Al-Manar reports:
Obama Reluctant to Answer Questions on Israeli Nuclear Program!

U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday urged all countries, including Israel, to sign the international Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, or NPT.

"Whether we're talking about Israel or any other country, we think that becoming part of the NPT is important," Obama said. "And that, by the way, is not a new position. That's been a consistent position of the United States government, even prior to my administration."

"Initially you were talking about US behavior, and then suddenly we're talking about Israel. Let me talk about the United States," the president said.

“I do think that as part of the NPT, our obligation, as the largest nuclear power in the world, is to take steps to reducing our nuclear stockpile. And that's what the START treaty was about, sending a message that we are going to meet our obligation...as far as Israel goes, I'm not going to comment on their program.”

{more}

"No man can serve two masters."

That's the way it works. By bowing to the influence of Israel, our government puts the interests of the vast majority of Americans in a far distant second place finish.

Over 7,500 Traitors

That's the number expected to attend this year's AIPAC conference, March 21-23.

While there they will get some talking points from war criminals and psychopaths Tony Blair and  Benjamin Netanyahu. Hillary Clinton also will speak before the faithful that will include many members of the Senate and House.

AIPAC brags how they have so many non-jew dupes and deceived Christians attending.
You might think that Israel is strictly a Jewish issue. But with a quick look around the Washington Convention Center during the next three days, you'd see that the pro-Israel movement in the United States is growing more diverse each year. Jews and non-Jews, religious and secular, African Americans and Latinos-all of them are here to show their support for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship.

 In addition, 50 pastors and church leaders are attending the conference, which for the fourth year in a row features programming specifically designed for Christian supporters of the Jewish state. A panel discussion this afternoon called "Friends of Faith" will examine the roots of Christian Zionism and explore how pro-Israel Christians and Jews can work together in the political arena to strengthen Israel's security.
Even more incredulous is the 'theme' of this year's treason fest.
The theme of this year's conference is "Israel: Tell the Story." Conference programming will highlight the many facets of Israel-an innovator, a Jewish homeland, a light unto the nations and much more.
There's a lot of talk about a rift in US-Israeli relations but it's most likely Lights, Camera, Distraction. The Lobby will put the pressure on to make sure no US taxpayer money and armament welfare to Israel is disturbed.

AIPAC is a foreign agent and spy agency. They have bought and blackmailed many in Congress and the administration. Federal officials cower at the threat of loss of their jobs or worse if support for Israel is not given.

AIPAC's Orwellian doublespeak and actions are a sickness imposed on the American people. Let's just call it as it is .... AIPAC is treasonous and those that support them are traitors.

~~~
Medea Benjamin of Code Pink says they will protest and try to disrupt the conference. That's good but until CP opens up on 9/11 and Israeli complicity in the attacks, we'll still look at them with a wary eye.
Benjamin says in the video below:
"And then there's just a parade of congresspeople who go through there {AIPAC}, it's like they continue to bow down to this organization that supports the worst militaristic criminal activities."
Actually Medea, it's not 'like' they bow down, they do bow, real low.
Silence is Golden $$ - Congress Very Quite on Dubai Mossad Assassination
Not a peep from anyone in Congress that I can find. No resolution condemning an extra judicial assassination in the country of one of our 'friends.' No call to help Dubai in their investigation.
Waiting for more evidence I suppose and there were no U.S. passports injured in the operation.
Many in Congress are just biding their time waiting on the AIPAC Policy Conference party, otherwise known as  Treason Fest™, where reports are that half the senate and a third of the house will be going.
Some of the speakers at the fest who will give congressional members their talking points will be:
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
  • Rt. Hon. Tony Blair, Quartet Representative and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
  • Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY)
  • Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
  • Amb. Michael Oren, Israeli ambassador to the United States
  • Col. Richard Kemp, former commander of British forces in Afghanistan
  • Alan Dershowitz, Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at Harvard Law School
  • Robert Satloff, executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy
  • Dan Senor, co-author of Start-Up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle
  • Robert Kagan, senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
What a lineup! Everything from war criminals to American traitors to media and think tank whores. Looks like a lot of fun.
 So be silent Congress ... Mossad assassinations are nothing to talk about in this election year when your campaign funds, reputations, seats and possibly your lives are on the line.
Scott Brown - Vetted and Approved by ...
Israel and AIPAC of course ...
Hidden beneath the media hype of Scott Brown as the 'savior' fighting against some of Obama's policies is the fact that he is just another warmongering Israel first lackey.
His election is touted as a referendum against the Democrat controlled Congress and their excesses and he may give a few token votes of opposition but in the areas of war and empire he will be in lockstep with the two party war machine.
A thirty year National Guard veteran, now a  lieutenant colonel who has never been deployed to a war zone, he has used his uniform as a photo op to show he is tough against 'al qaeda' and Iran.
The bankers will surely love him and he will love them back. He's a part of their class, owning 5 homes in New England, and a timeshare condo in Aruba.
Brown doesn't have much experience in politics but I'm sure his friends at AIPAC and in the military/industrial/CIA complex will take him by the hand and lead him through the minefields.
Without even a single day as Senator, there's already some 'Brown for President' calls. There will most likely be more as he gets extensive media coverage. Maybe a Palin/Brown partnership?
Thanks Massachusetts, once again you give us someone who will keep the 'war on terror' chugging along.
Joe Biden at AIPAC
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here today to tell you something you already know, and I assure you this — President Barack Obama shares that same commitment. His support is rooted in his personal connection to the Zionist idea to which he spoke about last year at this conference. He said last year that when he was a child, and I quote, “I was drawn to the belief that you could sustain a spiritual, emotional and cultural identity, and I deeply understood the Zionist idea that there is always a homeland at the center of our story.”
Code Pink Goes to AIPAC
Controlled Opposition?
Most of the time when Code Pink speaks or interrupts a congressional hearing or in this case the AIPAC conference, it's hard to disagree with what they say. But do they stop short of the bottom line truth? Since the Pinkers always seem to gain access to wherever they want to go and without getting tasered and jailed for a long time as would happen to any of the rest of us, it always brings to mind if they are not part of the controlled opposition. Who funds them? They have a lot of cash.
See here and here for a possible money trail.
No offense intended to the many local Code Pink activists, most of whom I think to be sincere. Just questioning the possibility that the funding may influence the national group in their agenda and how far they are allowed to go.
CODEPINK Interrupt Israeli President at AIPAC Conference
Calls for Ending Occupation, Lifting Siege of Gaza, and Diplomancy with Iran
WASHINGTON - May 4 - During Israeli Pres. Shimon Peres' speech today at the annual AIPAC (American Israeli Political Action Committee) policy conference at the Washington Convention Center, CODEPINK members raised banners saying "Want Peace? End the Occupation," "What About Gaza?," and "No Money for War Crimes."
As the six activists were forcibly dragged away from the stage, they shouted similar phrases including "Tikun olam (Heal the world) for Gaza, too!", all meant to draw attention to widespread opposition to AIPAC's policies lobbied to Congress that include unconditional support and financing for Israel's militaristic policies including the recent devastating invasion of Gaza, building of illegal settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the separation wall, refusal to negotiate with the Palestinians' democratically elected representatives, and threats to attack Iran.
"The brutal invasion of Gaza was a breaking point for me and many American Jews," said CODEPINK co-founder Medea Benjamin, who recently led a 60-person delegation to Gaza. "I was appalled by the devastation and the suffering I saw, particularly among the children. As a mother, I feel compelled to speak out against Israel's bombing of civilians and the ongoing siege that is so devastating to the lives of Gaza's 1.5 million people-most of whom are under 18."
While AIPAC claims to represent the U.S. Jewish community, its wholesale support of the Israel government goes against the majority opinions of the Jewish Americans. According to a recent survey by the Jewish lobby group J Street, 76 percent of American Jews support a two-state solution, 69 percent support negotiating with a Fatah-Hamas unity government, and 59 percent felt the Gaza invasion did not improve Israel's security.
"Like most American Jews, I grew up with a deep appreciation for the state of Israel," said Rae Abileah, a young American Jew of Israeli descent. "After witnessing the attack of Gaza on TV and hearing the calls for crippling sanctions on Iran, I can no longer avert my eyes to the other side of the story most rabbis still aren't talking about. I am joining the dozens of Jewish organizations, and the growing global movement, advocating a change in the Israeli policies of occupation and aggressive violence. It's high time to drop the victim narrative so that we may all survive, and one day thrive as neighbors."
CODEPINK activists inside the AIPAC conference (with its theme "Relationships Matter") were: Medea Benjamin, 56, Rae Abileah, 26, Blaine Clarke, 29, Christianna Reinstein, 21, Desiree Fairooz, 53, and Tighe Barry, 52.
"The most important relationships for Israel to cultivate are not with U.S. Congressional allies but with the Palestinian people," said Christianna Reinstein, a student of Middle Eastern studies who joined the protest inside the AIPAC conference today. "AIPAC's lobbying of Congress has not made Israel more secure and has hurt American efforts to improve relations in the Arab world." {source}
Medea...call AIPAC and those in Congress who support their agenda what they are...traitors to America.
"Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abraham Lincoln used to ask people: "How many legs does a dog have if you call his tail a leg?" They would answer: "Five." Lincoln would respond: "No, four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Calling Israel and its lobbying arm AIPAC 'friend' instead of traitor does not make it a friend.
Blacks, Latinos, students and Christian Zionists comprise teams of 'useful idiots' in the deception of Israeli influence.
Policy Conference Draws Diverse Crowd
Policy Conference delegates prepare for three days of excitement and learning.
The pro-Israel movement in the United States is growing more diverse each year. Jews and non-Jews, religious and secular, African Americans and Latinos-all of them are here to show their support for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship.
At a breakout session called "Emerging Alliance" three African American leaders-a pastor, a business man and a civil rights icon-will explain how African Americans and Jews can unite around their common love of Israel.
In addition, dozens of pastors are attending the conference, which for the third year in a row features programming specifically designed for Christian supporters of the Jewish state. A panel discussion called "Faithful Allies: What Motivates Pro-Israel Christians" will examine the roots of Christian Zionism.
Nearly 200 rabbis and cantors from across the United States are also in attendance. They will be treated to a special track of programming that includes a lunch with renowned historian Dr. Michael Oren and other networking opportunities.
And for the fifth year in a row, the Policy Conference is welcoming more than 100 pro-Israel activists from Europe, Turkey, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Central America.
These delegates from abroad will participate in the International Visitors Program, a track of forums and training sessions designed to help guests hone their ability to advocate for strong relations between their home countries and Israel.
Student Activists Turn Out in Force
Students register for Policy Conference 2009.
On many campuses around the country, May 3-5 is right in the middle of final exams. But more than 1,000 students from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, including a record high number of 193 Student Government Association (SGA) presidents and 200 high-school students, are refusing to let a few tests get in the way of AIPAC Policy Conference 2009. Indeed, they have turned out in force.
The 193 SGA presidents attending are the largest known gathering of student elected officials on any issue this year. The presidents hail from an eclectic array of campuses, including Northwestern, UC San Diego, Tufts, Vanderbilt, Brigham Young, Florida International and Morehouse College.
In addition to joining community delegates for plenaries, breakout sessions and the Gala Banquet, students will participate in a variety of specialized sessions. One highlight is the AIPAC Campus Awards Ceremony, which honors exceptional pro-Israel students and campus professionals from more than a dozen schools and organizations.
Other student-specific events include a lunch forum bringing together African American student activists and community leaders; a campus leadership dinner with College Democrats, College Republicans and SGA presidents; and a reception for high-school delegates. {more}
Joe "I Am A Zionist" Biden to Address AIPAC
WASHINGTON (JTA) – U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will close this year’s AIPAC policy conference.
The announcement from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee came Saturday, the day before the start of its signature affair, drawing close to 7,000 delegates and ending in a blockbuster lobbying session on Tuesday afternoon.
Biden will address the closing session on Tuesday morning; that speaker is customarily seen as the motivator who endorses AIPAC’s legislative package and rallies delegates to sell it on Capitol Hill.
Biden, who throughout his long career as a U.S. senator from Delaware was regarded as pro-Israel in principle, has clashed with AIPAC in the past on tactics.
“AIPAC does not speak for the entire American Jewish community,” Biden said during last year’s campaign after Republicans criticized him for bucking AIPAC on Iran sanctions votes. “There’s other organizations as strong and as consequential.”
He later made up with the organization, and has served as one of the Obama administration’s principle emissaries to the organized Jewish community.
Treason Fest™ 2009
http://www.jewishcincinnati.org/display_image.aspx?ID=183999
The excitement is surely building. Only a week to go until the annual AIPAC Policy conference when several US elected officials and associated shills will remind the world who they really work for.
Even Tel Aviv Jane Harman is scheduled to give opening remarks and to discuss "an insider's look at the Middle East," if she is not deemed too radioactive.
Over 300 members of Congress reportedly attended in 2008 but the guest list for this year has been hidden at the organizer's request. I suppose that's to keep constituents from publicly questioning their representatives about where their loyalties lie and ruining a good time.
A big private conversion piece this year will most likely be whether the AIPAC's own spies, Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman, both former lobbyists, will finally get their day in court or the charges be dismissed in the name of 'national security.'
Other whispered topics may include whether or when to bomb Iran and how to derail a 'one-state' or 'two-state' solution for the Palestinians.
A gala kosher banquet is scheduled where Senate Majority Whip Richard Durbin (D-IL), Republican Whip Jon Kyl (R-AZ), House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and House Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) join hundreds of their congressional colleagues, foreign dignitaries and activists from across the country in celebrating the U.S.-Israel alliance. Other 'notable' speakers at the conference will include Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, James Woolsey, former CIA director and Robert Satloff, executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Maj. Gen. Ido Nechustan, commander of the Israeli Air Force, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and of course Senator John Kerry (D-MA), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
This list of 'dignitary' speakers show that being bought and blackmailed by Israel is truly a bi-partisan effort. The list of Pro-Israel PAC contributions to congressional candidates is extensive, a 'leave no congressperson behind' money trail.
A Shabbaton is also scheduled, including both Jews and Shabbat goys. Only $150 per person. Tax deductible.
The last but not least thing on the agenda is Lobbying (At the Convention Center and on Capitol Hill). The untold billions given to Israel each year must be reinforced.
No word of any protests against the AIPAC crowd this year. I wonder why Glenn Beck and Hannity haven't organized anything? I thought eliminating wasteful spending was what they were all about.
NSA wiretapping of the event is said to be optional, but all is fair in love, war and Israeli control of Congress.
Treason Fest™..... a uniquely American affair.
