Back To The Futurama

I would watch this movie, even though the movies they did were mostly meh. If it was anything like Roswell That Ends Well it would be amazing. (Unreality via Geek Mythology)

Wanted: Back To The Future 3

Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen: What's your name, dude?
Marty McFly: Uh, Mar- Eastwood. Clint Eastwood.
Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen: What kind of stupid name is that?

Dave Williams goes western with his poster for Back to the Future 3. Check out his takes on one and two.

Movie Parts: Back To The Forest Gump

In response to the trend of minimalist movie posters, Emma Butler decided to cram all the memorable props and details of her favourite films into her own posters. Above: Back To The Future; Below: Forrest Gump. (Via Reelizer)

1.21 Gigawatts? Great Scott!

Phantom City Creative's poster for a screening of Back to the Future at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, as part of a series of '80s cult classics, showing this Saturday afternoon. Right in my own backyard - I need to pay more attention. (via Reelizer)

Pop Culture Built My Hotrod

"All of a sudden, I found myself in love with the world
So there was only one thing that I could do
Was ding a ding dang my dang a long ling long."

Jimiyo's super famous car mashup is the most awesome vehicle ever made, with parts from: the General Lee, Ecto I, KITT, Herbie the Bluesmobile, the DeLorean and Mad Max. Seriously, it's composed of awesome. (Link from pacalin)

Let's do the Time Warp (Again!)

It's astounding, time is fleeting
Madness takes its toll
But listen closely, not for very much longer
I've got to keep control
Some of films most loved time travellers all come together to make me relive every high school dance I ever went to. Next up, Billy Idol singing Mony Mony ending with slow dancing to Stairway to Heaven, except that part near the end where the song speeds up and nobody knows quite what to do. Good times!

Welcome To Hill Valley, California

Seems like a pleasant enough place to raise a family. Certainly not a place you'd be hit on by your future mother. No sir.
"Being a huge fan of Mad Men-type retro advertising, I thought it'd be fun to create my very own magazine ad promoting the town of Hill Valley, circa 1955. I wanted to make it as convincing as possible while still hinting at the influence of Marty's visit to his future home town of the past. I'm not sure that even makes sense, but you kinda get the picture. The Delorean is pretty obvious sign, but there's also one subtle hint that Marty was there. Can anyone guess what it is?"

In The '80s Junkyard

All good cars go to the dump. Harsh but true. Ian Leino’s Chariots Retired is an '80s treasure trove.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: 1988

"Now, disgraced scientist Emmet Brown has to put together a new team to combat the growing threat of the Lost Boys and their leader, a newly resurrected vampire kingpin Tony Montana: Transportation specialist Jack Burton, ex-commando B.A. Baracus, tech wizard Angus MacGyver and the mysteriously powerful femme fatale known only as "Lisa." But will Brown be able to stop the Lost Boys before time runs out?"

Okay, it was an April Fool's prank from Comics Alliance, but wouldn't it be AWESOME? Alan Moore is already spinning in his grave. What, he's not dead? Never mind. (Link via Agent M Loves Tacos)

Marty, We've Got To Get Wayback To The Future!

Mr. Peabody: I need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity I need.
Sherman: You don't just walk into a store and-and buy plutonium. Did you rip that off?
Mr. Peabody: Quiet, you.

Back To The Ancient Future

In a recent archeological find, Egyptologists uncovered some unusual hieroglyphics. They have translated some of it and found the name Calvin and something about an old man going over 309,760 cubits an hour. Crazy Egyptians, what could it all mean? Get 1985 b.c. from Shirt.Woot.

Fingers Crossed For Flying Cars!

Or maybe some sort of iCortical implant so I don't have to bother carrying about a phone or use a computer anymore. I'd also go for food in pill form and some way to eliminate the need for sleep. I've got it down to 4-1/2 hours, but I still feel pretty groggy.

But no matter what the years holds, there is no way I would let Elroy Jetson wash my car. (Link via Least I Could Do.)

Too Much Pop Culture

I can totally relate to this. If I can make it through a conversation without referencing a movie or TV show, it's a miracle. I got it bad. (Comic via Least I Could Do)

Make Like A Tree And Get Outta Here

Pop artist Jim Horwat sends us Back To The Future with his tribute for Gallery 1988's Crazy 4 Cult 3-D, where 100 artist pay tribute to classic cult films.

I don't think I'd classify of Back To The Future as a cult film, but if this is the quality of the work, I can't wait to see the whole exhibit.
