Robots On The Horizon

Pop artist Augie Pagan will be selling limited prints of Robots on the Horizon at Emerald Con in Seattle this weekend. I'd love to go, but who'd be crazy to fly from Toronto to Seattle for the weekend? Oh, right, my coworker Andrea - have fun Andrea!

Exterminate! Exterminated

Dalek's have no loyalty to other robots. Exterminate! (Exterminated by jimiyo at TeeFury)

Update: I have been informed that Daleks are not, in fact, robots, thus revealing my pop culture shame — I've never watched Dr. Who.

Star Wars Snowflakes

For all your geek Christmas needs, Star Wars snowflakes! Above an R2-D2 and C-3PO paper snowflake from the fine folks at The Nerdery. No instructions on making one though, so you're on your own. The two below both have instructions, but are still well beyond my rudimentary scissor skills. Enjoy.

Famous Robots Roles During The Robot Apocalypse

There are some small errors in this (seems C-3PO becomes a Borg during the apocalypse and Bender's primary objectives are bending, "cheesing" it, and killing all humans,) but I love how they all turn on us in the end. (Robot Roll Call by Pleated-Jeans, via zupaztrupa)

R2DJ Drops Robot Beats

Bidi-bidi-bidi. Warning, warning, danger, danger! Eclectic Method brings their mixing wizardry to our favourite buckets of bolts, including R2-D2 and C-3PO, Twiki, Johnny 5, WALL-E and EVE, Teddy, Robby the Robot, B9 and my personal favourite Marvin the Paranoid Android. Could have used some Bender though. (Link via Neatogeek)

The Man Machine

After multiple listens of Kraftwerk's "Autobahn", the Terminator, C-3PO, Robocop and Gort decided to form a band.  Ot it's Christopher Golebiowski's Krafts, based on Kraftwerk's The Man Machine Album cover. Either/or. (Link via Agent M Loves Tacos)

Tin Man vs C-3P0

I can't imagine what would have brought these two metal men together or what would lead them to fight, but once the smackdown began, C-3PO wouldn't stand a chance. The Tin Man carries an axe and is literally heartless, while C-3PO is a gay protocol robot. While he was built by the young Darth Vader there is no evidence any of the evil wore off on him. Vive La French Star Wars Différence

Star Wars Made in France

The disco-themed Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band song is from Meco's album Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk and is pure 1970's cheese. The interpretive dance between the Darth Vaders and C-3POs is all French. (Link via @boyreporter)
