In the UK, Michael Gilbert was tortured over a period of many years.

He is now dead.

In the UK, Peter Harvey was tortured.

He has been put on trial.

Michael Gilbert came from a children's home.

He was 'adopted' by the Watt family, who kept him as a slave

Members of the Watt family tortured and eventually murdered Michael Gilbert.

Michael Gilbert's headless body was found in a lake. (Six jailed for murder, torture and slavery of Blue Lagoon victim)

Members of the Watt family have been sent to jail.

Some kids filmed the torture of a school teacher called Peter Harvey.

The torturers are not on trial.

The teacher, Peter Harvey, is on trial.

A court has heard that some pupils tried to 'push the boundaries.' (Teacher Peter Harvey 'yelled')

Memebers of a class baited Peter Harvey and secretly filmed the action.

Peter Harvey, 50, eventually 'snapped' after a boy told him to 'F*** off'.

Video footage of the torture of Harvey has been shown to the jury during the opening of Harvey's trial on 26 April 2010.

The film shows Harvey having an argument with a female pupil who had been 'messing about' with window blinds and a white board.

The girl called Harvey a 'bald-headed b******'.

The video shows kids taunting Harvey with shouts of 'psycho'.

Harvey is shown warning a boy to put down a wooden metre ruler.

The boy had been 'wandering' around the classroom playing sword fights.

The boy had picked up a bunsen burner stand.

Harvey then attacked the boy.

The boy suffered a fractured skull in the attack and has been left with loss of hearing on his right side.

At a previous time, Harvey had been off school with stress after a pupil threatened him at home.

Harvey was threatened for defending a female colleague who was being abused by the pupil's twin brother.

In the UK, one in three schools is suffering too much bad behaviour

Conservative Party education spokesman Michael Gove said: 'Over 1,000 pupils a day are excluded for assault and abuse.

'Teachers don't feel they have the power to deal with disruption.'

The Conservatives have pledged to make it easier for teachers to use reasonable force to deal with violence and remove disruptive pupils.

In the UK city of Hull, just 25 per cent of secondary schools were judged good or better for pupil behaviour at their last inspection.

A survey by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers found that teachers believe behaviour in schools is worse than it was five years ago, with pupils as young as five being disrespectful, intimidating and violent.

Almost four in 10 teachers said they have encountered physical aggression in the classroom.
