Perez Hilton's Last Supper

"Just in time for Easter, pop artist Sham Ibrahim has completed his portrait of Perez Hilton, based on Leonardo da Vinci's the Last Supper. Perez is at the center of table as Jesus and seated at the table with him from left to right are: Joe Jonas, Lindsay Lohan, Zac Efron, Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Madonna, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Spencer Pratt, and Heidi Montag. Headlines taken directly from Perez' website are written on the wall. For dinner, "fame" is being served and the stars are crowded around the table, gobbling it up."

So Paris Hilton is Perez Hilton's Judas? I'd think of her more as his mother Mary, but I appreciate the connection. It's a perfect addition to the ever-growing pantheon of Last Supper parodies.

Our Lady Of The Arcade

So Ms. Pac-Man is actually Pac-Man's mother? Which means Pac-Man is Jesus? Wow, I may have to convert from Frisbeetarianism. From pop artist Misha via Gallery 1988.

Oh Lego, Has It Really Comes To This?

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Lego Minifigures the company has released a series of celebrity Lego minifigs, including such luminaries as Amy Winehouse, Brangelina, Madonna and the Beckhams (see below).

I was going to go into a rant about how sad it was to see Lego feeling the need to jump on the celebrity bandwagon and associate its bricks with some of the tabloids most popular denizens, but I'm beginning to doubt the veracity of these figures.

I don't doubt they exist, but I'm having trouble believing they are from Lego. I think someone has done a fabulous job and leaked them to the entertainment press that eats all things celebrity. In an effort to track down the original source I spent way too much time scouring the web and following links to find the original story or press release, but to no avail. All I came across was a checklist of all the news "sources" I used to use during my stint as a celebrity news writer. British tabloids and sites that all use the same, unattributed information.

Anyway, it was the 30th anniversary of the figures last month, so that much is true. And of anyone can find out who really created these, I'd love to find out. Even if it really was Lego. Until then, let's hope it really was just a celebrity-induced nightmare.

Madonna Kisses and Tells

Madonna, passing on her energy to Britney. Yeah, that's it.Madonna ought to count herself lucky that she’s only had to explain her tonguing of Britney Spears to her nine-year-old daughter Lourdes.

Lourdes is slowly learning that mom really isn’t a prim and proper English countrywoman and that she a walk-in closet full of skeletons. Here is the exchange between the precocious little scamp and Mommy Dearest, as related to Out magazine, via People:

“’Mom, you know they say that you are gay?’ And I'm, 'Oh, do they? Why?' And she says, 'Because you kissed Britney Spears.' I said, 'No, it just means I kissed Britney Spears. I am the mommy pop star and she is the baby pop star. And I am kissing her to pass my energy on to her.'"

Lourdes will be able to save money while explaining all this to her future therapist by just handing him the magazine.

While this flakey, earth mother excuse might work for now (or at least convince her daughter not to bother asking any more questions), I can’t wait to hear how Madonna explains Denis Rodman and her notorious Sex book.

Better keep your kids away from the computer.
