"Every possible version of the universe exists simultaneously."

"We create history by our observation, rather than history creating us."

How we see 'the universe' is important.

The grass seems greener on the other side?

Now, what if you are not happy with the universe you seem to be stuck in?

Can you change things?

Paradoxically, you may not have to travel any physical distance.

Our 'attitude' is important.

It's not a good idea to "Want what you can't get and not want what you can get."

How sane, balanced, and happy are the people of the United States of America, or Europe?

Dr Max Lüscher (born 1923 in Switzerland) is the Swiss psychotherapist who developed the Luscher Color Test to test moods, feelings and attitudes:

Luscher, in his book The 4-Color Person (published by Pocket Books), describes what we may be like, if we are not happy and balanced.

He describes the following types of unbalanced people:

1. THE GOOD NATURED ANGEL.

The good natured angel is in favour of Americans going in to Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam, in order to bring 'civilisation' to the peoples of these countries.

Good natured angels put aside their own need for intimacy and do 'good deeds', expecting their victims to enslave themselves in eternal gratitude and devotion.

The good-natured angel needs to learn to avoid exaggerated self-sacrifice if they want to find contentment (represented by the colour BLUE)

2. THE DISSATISFIED DEVIL.

The dissasatisfied devil distrusts certain foreigners and is in favour of active intervention by the USA in various parts of the world.

The dissatisfied devil frequently shifts alliances; he supports the Taliban and then opposes them; he supports Saddam and then wants him toppled; he supports Musharraf and then undermines him.

Dissatisfied devils do not know how to achieve relaxed closeness (possibly because of a disturbance in their relationships with their mothers).

They don't have the solid foundations of trust and devotion which can ultimately outlast all sensitivities and conflicts.

They seem incapable of being content with their existing partner.

The dissatisfied devil needs to learn about relaxed closeness, moderation, and contentment (represented by the colour BLUE)

3. THE CONCEITED PEACOCK.

The conceited peacock is in favour of America ruling the world.

Beneath the arrogance lies stupidity.

Conceited peacocks may suffer from impotence or frigidity.

Sex functions as a means of dominating their mates.

They think they are very conscientious, but often they don't do anything.

The conceited peacock needs to learn to be less bossy, less stubborn and less overrating.

They need to learn to be more noble and fair (represented by GREEN)

4. THE AGILE SERPENT.

The agile serpent favours false flag operations.

The agile serpent is the hidden other side of the conceited peackock.

The agile serpent has secret self doubts.

The agile serpent may take a lover, in order to be more independent of their wife/husband. Or because they find their existing partner is not absolutely perfect.

The serpent needs to be less of a mocking, agile snake.

The serpent's inferiority complex will disappear as they become more noble and fair (represented by the colour GREEN)

5. THE POMPOUS SHOWOFF.

The pompous showoff likes the idea of large houses, large cars, and large armies.

They like to impress others.

They will choose their partners for social reasons, to impress society. They judge a relationship by its market value.

When things go wrong, the pompous showoff becomes a tormented martyr.

When the pompous showoff has some REAL achievements, unrelated to impressing the herd, then they will gain genuine self confidence (represented by the colour RED) and not need to be pompous and boasting.

6. THE TORMENTED MARTYR.

Tormented martyrs are prepared put up with their country suffering in Vietnam, or Iraq or Afghanistan.

Tormented martyrs are prepared to put up with rigged elections and corrupt leaders.

Tormented martyrs swim in self-pity.

They turn every joy into a duty.

They enjoy being tragic heroes.

Instead of using their abilities, and increasing their self-confidence, they founder in passivity.

To gain self-confidence (represented by the colour RED), the martyr must stop being passive and instead be ready for peaceful achievement and peaceful challenge.

7. THE EXPECTANT VISIONARY.

Expectant visionaries support Obama.

Expectant visionaries defend themselves against reality by reinterpreting reality.

They are romantics and approach a new mate full of enthusiasm.

However the mate becomes less attractive sexually once he/she becomes a familiar reality for them.

Just when genuine love ought to develop, visionaries lose interest in their mate and look for something new.

Visionaries enjoy travel, in the hope of finding new illusions.

They live for the future, or the past, but cannot live in the present.

They are wishful thinkers.

But when they become disillusioned, they become Armoured Knights.

The visionaries will lose their restlessness by being more realistic and developing themselves in a happy, free and light-hearted manner (represented by YELLOW).

8. THE ARMOURED KNIGHT.

The armoured knight supports the military.

The armoured knight seeks safety and security once they have taken a lot of disappointments.

They are filled with distrust. They may be paranoid.

They require order.

They may take up a creed which supports crusades, inquisitions and wars.

They may distrust their mates and be filled with jealousy.

The armoured knight can become less pedantic and less compulsive by developing themselves in a happy, free and light-hearted manner (represented by YELLOW).

What should Americans and Europeans do, in order to become more balanced?

The balanced type is:

A. Noble, charitable, flexible and fair (green)

B. Moderate, peace-loving and content (blue)

C. Self confident as a result of his/her achievements (red)

D. Happy, light-hearted and independent as a result of self development and not clinging to worldly goods. (yellow)

LEVELS OF REALITY

Life is a mystery.

Atoms are 99.99999999999% empty space.

Fields of energy give us the appearance of matter.

Richard Feynman and other leading physicists have declared that energy is a complete mystery.

An increasing number of physicists "are considering that consciousness may be the basic reality and source of all." (3 Levels of Reality)

Which of the following 4 statements might you agree with?

1. The world contains both 'the desirable' and 'the undesirable', both 'pleasure' and 'pain', both 'justice' and 'injustice'.

2. All is well, because eventually we all reach some kind of heaven or nirvana.

3. Our life in this world is just like a dream, "nothing is really happening," and really there is only the one sublime, formless 'spirit'. (The Unmanifest Absolute)

4. All of the above statements are true.

For the Buddhist, if you have a 'finite' world, you inevitably have opposites, such as 'pleasure' and 'pain'.

But, for the Buddhist, suffering can strengthen virtue.

And suffering can be avoided by not grasping for things.

Buddha, perhaps wisely, taught that 'Ultimate Reality' cannot be understood by our finite minds.

Hindus have more 'definite' views on God or Ultimate Reality, as Timothy Conway explains below.

Timothy Conway has spoken about 3 Levels of Reality

Conway refers to "the old, largely forgotten Christian idea of apokatastasis, or universal salvation taught by Origen and Clement of Alexandria and Gregory of Nyssa: God's love is so powerful that no creature can exile itself from this Love forever."

This idea of salvation for all is supported by Sufis, Hasidic Jews, Hindus and Buddhists

Hindus believe that "All beings will eventually become Brahman, or divine reality, because there is only Brahman."

According to some Hindus, suffering is used "to produce sublime awakening to Spirit."

In the 19th century, Sri Ramakrishna, when asked why people suffer, replied: "To add zest to the play."

Conway refers to "the deepest mystical truth, namely: Nothing is happening. The world is a dream. There's only God here. It's always only been God...

"What appears to be happening ... is a dream of Consciousness."

Hindu scriptures relate: "The cosmos is like two sons born to a barren woman who did not really exist, and one day they went out and got on their horses that had never been born and traveled along a nonexistent path to an uncreated land to a town that existed only in the imagination."

Conway relates: "Wondrous and poignant adventures are happening. God plays all the parts...

"Nothing is happening, and everything is happening...

"The completion of the journey Home is realizing one's identity as both formlessness and form, nothing and everything, nobody and everybody...

"When you know that there's only God here, you're motivated to do whatever it takes ... to alleviate suffering and remedy injustice."

All very mysterious.

PAUL CAME BACK TO LIFE

In Germany, three year old Paul fell into a pond and died.



On 18th April 2010, we read in The Mail how Paul apparently then came to a gate and met Emmi, his great grandma.



Paul said: "There was a lot of light and I was floating.



"I came to a gate and I saw Grandma Emmi on the other side.



"She said to me, 'What are you doing here Paul? You must go back to mummy and daddy. I will wait for you here.'



"I knew I was in heaven. But grandma said I had to come home. She said that I should go back very quickly.



"Heaven looked nice. But I am glad I am back with mummy and daddy now."



How do we know?



Paul came back to life more than three hours after he had died.



Professor Lothar Schweigerer, director of the clinic where the dead Paul Eicke had been taken, said: "I have never experienced anything like it.



"When children have been underwater for a few minutes they mostly don't make it. This is a most extraordinary case.



"My doctors were close to saying 'we can do no more' after two hours of thorax compression.



"This was because the chances of survival had gone and the little lad must have been brain dead.



"But then suddenly his heart started to beat again ... it was a fantastic miracle."









One in ten people claim to have had an out-of-body experience at some time in their lives.



At Out-of-body - near-death experiences, we read:



In Dr. Raymond Moody's documentary entitled, Life After Life, he interviewed a Russian scientist named Dr. George Rodonaia, who had a near-death out of body experience.



While 'dead' George visited an infant crying in a nearby room.



"George observed that no one could figure out why the infant was crying so persistently.



"But George learned while out of his body that the infant had a broken arm.



"When George returned to life, he told the infant's parents about the broken arm.



"An x-ray revealed that the infant's arm was indeed broken."





There is a question about whether or not consciousness exists outside the body.



Believers in Reincarnation would suggest that consciousness survives death.

Brain specialists, Prof. J.C.Eccles, Dr.Wilder Penfield and Prof.W.H.Thorpe have stated that the brain appears to be an organism to register and channel consciousness rather than produce it.



"The brain is messenger to consciousness", Eccles said.



David J.Chalmers Ph.D. writes in the Scientific American (1997):



Consciousness, the subjective experience of an inner self, could be a phenomenon forever beyond the reach of neuroscience. Even a detailed knowledge of the brain's workings and the neural correlates of consciousness may fail to explain how or why human beings have self-aware minds.



The Lancet of 15th December 2001 published an extensive Near Death Experience (NDE) study by Pim van Lommel, MD, cardiologist at Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem, Netherlands.



He relates:



A patient saw during a NDE, besides his deceased grandmother, another man who looked at him full of love. Yet he did not know him.



More than ten years later he learned that he was born out of wedlock with a Jewish man during WW2.



This man was deported and killed.



When he was shown a photo of his biological father he recognised him as the man he had seen ten years before during his NDE





According to the Telegraph, 22 October 2000, (http://news.telegraph.co.uk/news/l):



1. "THE first scientific study of 'near-death' experiences has found new evidence to suggest that consciousness or the 'soul' can continue to exist after the brain has ceased to function."



2. Two eminent doctors carried out a year-long study of heart attack survivors.



3. Their study concludes that a number of people have almost certainly had 'experiences' after they were pronounced clinically dead.



4. This suggests that the mind or consciousness can survive the death of the brain.



5. The study was based on interviews with survivors of heart attacks at Southampton General Hospital's cardiac unit.



It was published in the respected medical journal Resuscitation.



The study's authors are Dr Peter Fenwick, a consultant neuropsychiatrist at the Institute of Psychiatry in London, and Dr Sam Parnia, a clinical research fellow and registrar at Southampton hospital.

Dr Parnia said: "These people were having these experiences when we wouldn't expect them to happen, when the brain shouldn't be able to sustain lucid processes or allow them to form memories that would last.



"So it might hold an answer to the question of whether mind or consciousness is actually produced by the brain or whether the brain is a kind of intermediary for the mind, which exists independently."



Dr Fenwick said: "If the mind and brain can be independent, then that raises questions about the continuation of consciousness after death. It also raises the question about a spiritual component to humans and about a meaningful universe with a purpose rather than a random universe."



Four patients recounted feelings of peace and joy, heightened senses, lost awareness of body, and entering another world.

Dr Parnia, who was trained at the Guys and St Thomas' medical school, University of London, said: "I started off as a sceptic but, having weighed up all the evidence, I now think that there is something going on...



"If ... the brain is like an intermediary which manifests the mind, like a television will act as an intermediary to manifest waves in the air into a picture or a sound, we can show that the mind is still there after the brain is dead. And that is what I think these near-death experiences indicate."

Conway points out that in the world of Quantum Physics we find: "There is an underlying unity: an energy or ‘field’ that exists throughout the universe....

The 'field' "implies information exchange, as well as energy exchange, and could therefore provide instantaneous communication.
