Etsy Love: Calendars for the New Year

{Yes, I know I said I'd post this on Thursday, but I just couldn't wait! Enjoy!}

A fresh slate, a new start, who doesn't love getting to pick out a new calendar as the last days of December dwindle away? As I was browsing the aisles of Etsy, I found several that caught my eye. Here are my fave calendars for your viewing pleasure.

Patterned 2011 Wall Calendar-- by lettercdesign

2011 Colorful Mood Calendar --by dodelinedesign

2011 Desk Calendar-- by Jess Gonocha

Which is your favorite? I can't decide between the second, patterned one  by letter C design or the beautiful, colorful one by Jess Gonocha. And seriously, there are thousands more amazing calendars on Etsy. I had a hard time narrowing it down to these.

Are you a desk top calendar kind of girl? Or does iCal work just fine for you? Personally, I've gotta have those little boxes to fill in birthdays, special events, etc.

Have a great Wednesday and don't forget to fill out my survey if you've got a minute!

Etsy Love: tru.che

Yesterday I created an Etsy account for Chris so he can do some last minute shopping for me. And while I was on his account, I just *happened* to be browsing around and added a few items to his favorites to serve as a little wish list. ;)

While browsing, I stumbled upon the lovely shop, tru.che. Stevie is the artist and makes all sorts of lovely silver things. I just had to show you her "i heart..." necklace line.

"Wear your love", she says. Do you love Italy? Canada? ( Who knew it was shaped so funny? Not me.) Australia?

(Aloha to all my international buds!)

How about Florida or Texas? Or almost any other US state (besides Hawaii and Maryland, how sad).

I think these stud earrings are adorable. Linen textured hearts and wood grain rounds.

Still buying Christmas presents? All done and sipping hot cocoa? Working on the gift wrapping?

(Um, am I the only one still shopping??)

Speaking of Christmas shopping... Today is the last day to order paintings from my shop for Christmas delivery! I'd love to make a few more sales this week and I bet you can find some awesome ideas in my shop for those last few people on your list.

Etsy Love: Branda

Cozy. That's the word that comes to mind when I look at the Etsy shop, Branda. These two sisters from Argentina create fabulous comfy, warm winter accessories and they make me miss my cold winters even more!

I love the color of this scarf!

Etsy Love: Remixed Vintage by Judy the Jazz Cat

Judy's shop, Remixed Vintage (by Judy the Jazz Cat) is so visually appealing, I could stare at it all day. I love the colors she uses and the way she styles her photos. Not to mention her awesome creations. Judy takes vintage items like luggage and hatboxes and adds colorful cutouts, turning them into one-of-a-kind loveliness. She also has prints (like the "Rental Sweet Rental" one below!) and reclaimed vintage letters.

I love this print below. Perfect for vagabonds and military families like us, moving around, setting down shallow roots.

The hand-cut appliques on her vintage finds add the perfect splash of whimsy and color!

Etsy Love: Pretty Swell

Have you used the Shop Local feature on Etsy? I love using it and finding artists that live on Oahu or neighboring islands. That's how I found Pretty Swell. She creates on the same little island I do.

And, well, her shop name just says it all.

She makes delicate fabric flowers in every color of the rainbow. I love everything in her shop from her party garlands, to the cake toppers, to the sweet crown of flowers for darling little girls and hair pins for fashionable big girls.

I think the flower garlands would look awesome as home decor, swagged on some shelves or over windows. :)

And her photography is delicious too. :)

Etsy Love: meg j. roberts jewelry

Ah, the joys of Twitter. Etsy tweeted about this shop yesterday and I fell in love with Meg's quirky jewelry collection right away. I knew you would love it too, so I'm here to share meg j. roberts jewelry with you!

Her unique little animals are made from blackened steel and hung on blackened sterling silver chains. Any of these necklaces would make fabulous gifts, wouldn't they?

[Click any of the pictures or the banner above to jump over to the shop!]

You could be the only girl on the block with a dead fish necklace!

(How can something so morbid be so adorable?)

When I have some extra spending money, I'd love this little humpback whale to remind me of the times spent whale watching with Chris here in Hawaii.

What do you think? Gotta have one? Not your style but perfect for someone on your Christmas list?

Etsy Love: Piper and Paisley

Since opening my shop in September, I've "met" so many amazing shop owners and stumbled upon countless beautiful shops. So, I'm starting a new series called "Etsy Love" where I'll share some favorite shops or items. We're kicking it off with Piper and Paisley

These sweet newsboy style hats make me really miss my seasons and the crisp feel of an autumn day. I love the simple details added with the buttons, bows and petals. And with every hat under $50, they're a fabulous handmade essential for your fall wardrobe.

[Click on the pictures to see the listing. There are lots more fabulous hats to see in the shop!]
